"That was a fantastic game played by both teams. We give SUNY Poly the credit for getting the win, but it was a high level college basketball game by both squads. When two teams each shoot 50% from the floor and take care of the basketball, it was a fun game to be a part of," Penn College coach
Geoff Hensley said.
"Individually, it was nice for our seniors to play well in their last home game of their college careers. Ben and Ryan set the tone in the early minutes, with Carson, Elijah, Trey and Frank contributing as well. Ben was able to get going inside, while Ryan had some phenomenal drives to the rim, which opened up 3-point shots for Carson and Elijah. Trey did great pushing the tempo while Franks energy gave the whole team a boost.
"I would like to say Thank You to Dr. Davie Gilmour, Mr. Elliott Strickland, Mr.
John Vandevere and the rest of Wildcat nation for coming out this season and bringing us tremendous support. We have a quick turn around with a big game game on Tuesday to get ready for. I think this was a great challenge for us to get ready for Gallaudet next."
Up Next: Penn College returns to action Tuesday, 5 p.m. at Gallaudet.
