KEUKA, N.Y. – Penn College dropped a 62-52 decision to Keuka College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Friday. The Wildcats fell to 5-16 overall, 3-11 NEAC, while the Wolves improved to 10-12, 6-9.
How it Happened: Penn College overcame a 14-6 first quarter deficit with an 18-4 run– including eight points from
Ja'Quela Dyer -- to start the second quarter, and a 24-16 lead on a
Madison Klock free throw with 3:22 left in the quarter. The Wildcats led 26-22 at halftime.
Penn College took its largest lead of the second half, 29-22, on
Cassi Kuhns' traditional three-point play with 9:21 on the clock. Keuka answered with a 13-3 spurt to take a 35-31 lead midway through the quarter and led 44-38 at the end of the period. The Wolves led the entire fourth quarter.
Inside the Box: Dyer picked up her sixth double-double this season with a game-high 19 points and a game-best 13 rebounds. Kuhns finished with 12 points and seven boards, and
Tori Wolfe grabbed 10 rebounds and netted nine points.
Riley Record scored a team-high 17 points for Keuka.
