ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Penn College dropped a pair of matches Sunday at the Tiger Duals hosted by Rochester Institute of Technology. The Wildcats dropped to 6-19 after a 51-0 setback to RIT and a 41-12 loss to Oneonta.

How it Happened: Penn College, down five starters Sunday, picked up two bonus wins against Oneonta. Erik Schreck picked up a fall in 2:31 at 157 and Jalen Edwards earned an injury default win at 197. Colin Browne was active in match at 174, before dropping a high-scoring 17-10 decision.

Outside the Box: "Despite the lopsided score, we wrestled with a much higher intensity and pace against RIT. Ryan Bauer wrestled a great match with Horton. Schreck and Dylan Gettys gave a good effort against two top 10 ranked guy," Penn College coach Jamie Miller said. "Matt Carpenter scrapped well for seven minutes. Browne, Edwards, and Ty Stahli went down swinging. Overall, solid effort against a top 20 team.

"With the exception of a few matches - Schreck (157), Browne (174), and Edwards (197) - we just did not compete and lacked effort against Oneonta. We'll see both these teams in a few weeks at Regionals. We need to watch some film and see where we need to improve."
