Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College battled Penn State Berks in a United East men's soccer match and fell 1-0. The Wildcats dropped to 3-9-4 overall, 1-2-3 UE, while the Lions improved to 3-10-1, 3-2.
How it Happened: Penn College came out aggressive in the first half controlling the ball for the majority of the time and held an advantage in shots, 6-3, and corner kicks, 8-3, before going into halftime 0-0.
Penn State Berks responded in the second half gaining the edge in shots, 10-5, and corner kicks, 6-1. The Lions scored the lone goal of the game in the 69th minute to seal the victory.
Inside the Box: Penn State Berks outshot Penn College 13-11 in total shots and both teams split in corner kicks, 9-9.
Chris McFarland led the Wildcats' offensive attack with two shots on goal.
Braeden Eckard finished with eight saves in goal for the Wildcats.
