WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 1-0 decision to Juniata College in a non-conference men's soccer match Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 3-7-3, while the Eagles improved to 3-3-2.
How it Happened: Juniata netted the only score it needed in the 34
th minute when Nicholas Sinapius belted a left-footed shot from the 18 to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
Daniel Jackson and
Chris McFarland each put a shot on frame in the first half, but both were turned away.
Penn College opened the second half with headers from
Colton Wartman and
Tyler Weimert in the 48
th and 51
st minutes, but both attempts found the goalie's hands.
Inside the Box: Penn College outshot Juniata, 14-11, and held an 8-3 advantage on corners.
Braeden Eckert picked up four saves in goal for the Wildcats.
