WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College was outscored, 54-33, by King's College in the second half en route to an 87-58 setback in a non-conference men's basketball game Wednesday. The Wildcats fell to 0-2, while the Monarchs improved to 3-1.
How it happened: Penn College opened with a 6-2 lead on Max Jackowksy's three with 17:18 on the clock to lead 6-2, before King's built a 17-11 advantage with 8:55 left before the break. The Wildcats responded with a 10-3 run to take a 21-20 lead on
Corey Blackwell's layup with 5:11 left in the opening half. King's ended the half with a 13-4 spurt to lead 33-25 at the break.
King's led by double-digits the remainder of the game.
Inside the box: Jackowsky led Penn College with 11 points, while Blackwell and
Obens Luxama both finished with nine.
Jesse White grabbed a team-best eight rebounds and
Gavin Barrett handed out a game-high seven assists.
Chris Patton and Noah Tanner both finished with a game-high 15 points for King's.
Up next: Penn College returns to action Saturday, 1 p.m., hosting Lycoming College.
