WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College finished eighth at the Wildcat Invitational Saturday at Liberty Arena.
Colin Jens and
Jake Kallenborn highlighted the Wildcats day with three wins each.
Inside the brackets: Jens, at 141, finished 3-2 after a 14-5 major decision in his first match, a 52 second fall against Gettysburg and hard fought 3-2 decision over Castleton.
Jake Kallenborn won his first three matches at 184 for Penn College. Kallenborn was dominate in a 23-8 technical fall in his first bout, picked up a 12-5 decision in his second match, and earned a 13-7 decision in his third contest.
Cullen Van Rooyan (149), Matt Carpenter (149), and Michael Malloy (157) each earned a win for the Wildcats.
Anton Esterbrook, C.J. Trimber, Derek Kallenbord, and T.J. Bodei also competed for Penn College.
Top teams: Castleton topped the nine-team field by crowning six champions, one runner-up, three bronzes, and two fourth place finishes. Wilkes, The College of New Jersey, Lycoming, and Scranton rounded out the top five.
