WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College won its second-straight game with a 16-5 win over Medaille College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's lacrosse game Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 2-1, while the Mavericks fell to 0-1.
How it Happened:
Danny Harkins and
Daniel Jackson tallied scores in the first quarter before Penn College erupted for seven scores in the second to a take a 9-2 lead at halftime.
Quinn Caviola struck twice for the Wildcats in the second, while
Stephen Lepore, Garrett Croso,
James Conway,
Nathan Hugo, and
Tom Leahan found the back of the net once for PCT.
Penn College added three in the third and four in the fourth.
Inside the Box: Caviola paced the Wildcats offense with seven points, on four goals and three assists. Conway, Jackson, Corso, and Harkins all netted a pair of shots, while Lepore and Conway had two helpers each.
Andrew Gobbi improved to 2-1 between the pipes with 12 saves.
Penn College was 17-of-23 on faceoffs and 18-of-23 on clears.
Outside the Box: The Wildcats recognized four seniors – Corso, Gobbi, Lepore, and
Dylan Spanier – in a pregame ceremony.
