LA PLUME, Pa. – Penn College opened the season with a 0-0 draw against Keystone College in a non-conference men's soccer match Thursday.
How it Happened: The Wildcats saw two scoring chances turned away in the first half when shots by
Tommy DeGeyter and
Tyler Hendershot were stopped, while Braedan Eckert saved a pair of Giant shots on goal for Penn College.
The Wildcats put five shots on frame in the second half and all were stopped and sent three on target in both overtimes but couldn't find the back of the net.
Inside the Box: Penn College outshot Keystone, 20-7, while the Giants held a 4-3 edge on corner kicks.
Keystone picked up 11 saves, while Eckard finished with four stops for Penn College.
Up Next: The Wildcats return to action Saturday, 1 p.m., at Hood College.
