FREDERICK, Md. – Penn College came up just short to Hood College in a 2-3 loss in a non-conference men's soccer match Saturday.
How it Happened: The Wildcats were tied 1-1 heading into halftime with an electric score by
Tyler Weimert in the 26th minute. After a Blazers goal to open the second half,
Colton Wartman found the back of the net on an assist from
Chris McFarland in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, the Blazers scored the final goal of the match in the 78th minute to clinch the win.
Inside the Box: Penn College outshot Hood, 17-10, while both teams tied on corner kicks, 5-5.
Justin Potts finished with 2 saves in goal for the Wildcats.
Up Next: The Wildcats return to action with their home opener Tuesday, 7 p.m., versus Alfred State.
