ALFRED, N.Y. – Kaelynn Sheetz netted a second half goal to propel Penn College to a 1-0 win over Alfred State in a non-conference women's soccer match Wednesday. The Wildcats improved to 3-3, while the Pioneers fell to 4-2.

How it Happened: Sheetz broke a scoreless deadlock when she deposited Kristina Mease's pass in the 50^th minute.

Penn College had three shots turned away in the first half as two attempts from Sheetz and one by Abby Williams were stopped.

Inside the Box: The Wildcats outshot Alfred, 12-7, while the Pioneers held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

Nicole Lichtinger picked up her first collegiate win with six saves in goal for Penn College.

Up Next: The Wildcats return to action Saturday, 1 p.m., hosting Wells College.
