Penn College Blanks Wells, 6-0

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College netted three goals in each half en route to a 6-0 win over Wells College in a United East women's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats won their second-straight game to improve to 4-3 overall, 1-2 UE, while the Express fell to 1-7, 1-2.

How it Happened: Shannon O'Day gave Penn College a 1-0 lead when she took advantage of a failed clear attempt and tapped the ball to the back of the net in seventh minute. Teagan Willey made it 2-0 moments later after she split three defenders and put the ball in on the right side. Willey later found Sloane Tressler in the 13th minute and gave the Wildcats a 3-0 advantage.

Willey netted her team-leading fifth goal of the season when she headed in a cross for Cassie Johnson in the 55th minute and later returned the favor by assisting Johnson in the 60th minute to give PCT a 5-0 lead. Tressler scored her second goal of the game in the 64th minute after she converted a failed clear into the Wildcats sixth goal of the game.
