ABINGTON, Pa. – Penn College was outscored in the second half as Penn State Abington rallied for a 69-60 win over the Wildcats in a United East women's basketball game Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 1-3 UE, 2-9 overall, while the Nittany Lions improved to 2-0, 3-7.
How it happened: Penn College built a 34-31 halftime lead after outscoring Abington, 19-17, in the second quarter. The Wildcats led by as many five points on four different occasions, with the final time occurring when a pair of
Allie Troup free throws gave PCT a 34-29 lead with 1:26 left before the break. The Lions finished the quarter with a pair free throws to trail 34-31 at halftime.
Penn College led by as many as seven, 49-42, after a Maci Illgen layup with 5:31 left in the third before the Lions responded with end the quarter on a 10-3 run to deadlock the game at 52. Following two ties in the opening three minutes of the fourth, Abington gained separation with a 14-2 run and held on for the win.

Kayleigh Miller came off the bench to lead Penn College with 15 points while Illgen finished with 10.
Ja'Quela Dyer grabbed a team-best nine rebounds.
