CRESSON, Pa. – Penn College pumped in 28 points in the fourth quarter to spark a 66-51 win over Mount Aloysius in a non-conference women's basketball game Monday. The Wildcats improved to 2-7 overall, while MAC fell to 2-9.
How it happened: The Mounties built a 14-9 first quarter lead before Penn College outscored MAC, 17-12, in the second quarter to tie the game at halftime, 26-26. The Mounties took advantage of a 15-12 third quarter to lead 41-38 heading into the final quarter but Penn College lit it up with a 28-10 final period en route to its second victory of the season.
Inside the box:
Rachel Teats led all scorers with 19 points, on 8 of 13 from the floor and 3 of 5 from behind the arc, for Penn College.
Ja'Quela Dyer finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Maci Illgen added 13 and
Allie Troup finished with 10.
Bree Garel scored 18 points to lead the Mounties.
