WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College split a wrestling tri-meet against Penn Mont Alto and Muhlenberg Saturday in Bardo Gymnasium. The Wildcats handled the Nittany Lions, 51-6, before the Mules picked up bonus points wins in the middle and upper weights to secure 35-10 win.
 
The Wildcats are 1-1 this season.
 
Against Muhlenberg,
The Mules took an early 6-0 lead with a fall at 125. Patrick Snoke put Penn College on the board with a 3-2 ride out decision at 133 and Noah Hunt made it 7-6 after his 10 major decision at 141. Colin Jens scored three in three in the third to earn a 6-3 decision and give the Wildcats a 10-6 lead.
 
Muhlenberg picked up bonus point wins at 157, 165, 174, and 184 to lead 26-10. The Mules earned a decision at 197 and fall at heavyweight to close out the match.
 
Against Mont Alto,
Penn College received five forfeits to open match ahead 30-0. Cullen Van Rooyen made it 36-0 with a pin in 2:21 at 165 before the Nittany Lions picked up a fall at 174 to make it 36-6. The Wildcats closed the meet with Isaac Cory's 11-1 major decision at 184, Gabriel Kennedy-Citeroni's technical fall at 197 and Bill Bumbarger's fall at heavyweight.
