WILLIAMPSORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 93-67 decision to Juniata College in a nonconference men's basketball Monday. The Wildcats fell to 3-1, while the Eagles improved to 1-1.
How it happened: Juniata built an 18-11 advantage with 10:38 left in the first half before Penn College rallied with a 12-3 run to take a 23-22 lead on Michael Woolridge's layup with 7:31 on the clock. The Eagles answered by closing out the half with a 22-11 run to lead 44-34 at halftime.
Juniata's lead only dipped below double-digits once during the second half.
Inside the box: Obens Luxama scored a career-high 20 points, including six threes, to pace Penn College. Alec Cooper finished with 12 and Will Sulesky added 10.
Four players reached double-figures for Juniata, led by Tyler Lapentina's game-high 24.
