MOUNT ALOYSIUS, Pa. – Penn College fell 101-72 to Mount Aloysius College in a nonconference men's basketball game Wednesday. The Wildcats fell to 4-3, while MAC improved to 3-3.
How it happened: Penn College jumped out to a 13-7 lead after Will Sulesky's traditional three-point play with 15:16 left in the first. The Mounties answered with a 10-2 run to lead 17-15 three minutes later. Following two more deadlocks, MAC ended the half with a 49-40 advantage.
The Mounties outscored Penn College, 52-32, in the second half.
Inside the box: Gavin Barrett scored a team-high 22 points for Penn College and Obens Luxama finished with 12.
Up next: The Wildcats return to action Saturday, 3 p.m., in their United East opener at Lancaster Bible College.
