WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Penn College finished 11
th at the 32-team Wilkes Open Thursday.
Patrick Snoke highlighted the Wildcats showing with a 5
th-place finish at 133. It was the 89
th year of the Wilkes Open and the event featured more than 30 teams in all three divisions.
Inside the brackets: Snoke finished the event with a 4-1 mark and ended the tournament with a fall, with two seconds left, in the fifth-place bout. Snoke also picked up a pair of wins against Division I Franklin & Marshall wrestlers.
Noah Hunt (2-2), Cullen Van Rooyen (2-2), and
Michael Molloy (2-2) all earned a pair of victories for Penn College.
Colin Jens and Nick Semon each picked up a win.
