MADISON, N.J.- Penn College dropped a 13-6 decision to Drew University in a non-conference men's lacrosse game Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 1-2, while the Rangers improved to 2-0.
How it happened: Drew opened the game with a score at 13:55 before
Quinn Caviola tied the game with an unassisted tally a minute later. The Rangers pumped in two more scores before
Cole Spezialetti found the back of the net to make 3-2 with 14:30 left in the second quarter. The Rangers ended the half with three goals to lead 8-3 at halftime.
Drew made it 9-3 with an early strike in the third before Gage McClune and
Ryan Cordano netted back-to-back scores to pull Penn College with four, 9-5. The Rangers pumped in four more scores, while Cordano added the Wildcats last goal with 1:03 left in the third.
Inside the box: Cardano led Penn College with two goals while
James Cella turned away 14 shots in goal.
