HARRISBURG, Pa. — At Penn State Harrisburg in a United East game on Wednesday, the Penn College men's basketball team lost, 79-61, to go to 5-15 overall and 5-8 in the conference. Penn State Harrisburg is 18-2, 11-1.
How it happened: PS Harrisburg led from the get-go until a 3-point shot by
Max Jackowsky knotted the score at 12 with 14:26 left in the first half and a layup by
Jesse White put the Wildcats ahead 14-12 about a minute later. After six lead changes, Harrisburg opened an eight-point, 33-25, lead with 4:25 showing and led 40-33 at the intermission.
The Lions made it a 12-point difference after back-to-back baskets opening the second half, and after Chris Coyle hit a trey to pull Penn College back to within six at 52-46 with 12:18 remaining, Harrisburg led by as many as 19 before winning by 17.
Inside the box: Coyne led the Wildcats with 21 points and
Gavin Barrett handed out 10 assists.
Brandon Coleman topped four Harrisburg players scoring in double figures with 22 points.
