MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Penn College dealt Clarks Summit a 32-7 loss in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday. The Wildcats improved to 4-3, while the Defenders fell to 0-4.
Penn College scored 13 runs in the first, four in the second, 11 in the fourth, and four in the ninth.
Jacob Carles picked up his 100
th career hit for Penn College and
Matt Bailor belted a grand slam for his first collegiate hit.
The Wildcats totaled 20 hits, led by
Cameron Dick's three hits.
Anthony Barbella, Bailor,
Alex Jaworski, and
Kolten Smith each picked up two hits.
Keegan Nytz batted in a team-high five runs, while Barbella and Bailor each brought in four.
Zac Weaver improved to 1-0 after five innings on the mound. He allowed one earned one, on three hits and struck out four.
