Penn College Completes Season Sweep of Gallaudet

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Penn College concluded their three-game series with Gallaudet University in convincing fashion on Tuesday evening, as they defeated the Bison 11-3.  The Wildcats extended their winning streak to five-games and now stand at 15-10 overall and 9-3 in United East Conference play.  The Bison fell to 5-23 overall and 1-11 UEC.

How it Happened: Trailing 1-0 after one inning of play, Penn College plated three runs in the top of the second inning thanks in part to a Kolten Smith two-RBI triple to right center. Smith would go on to score on a passed ball for the Wildcats third and final run of the inning.  In the top of the sixth inning Jacob Carles increased the Wildcats lead to 5-2 on a RBI single to right center.  Leading 7-2 in the top of th ninth inning Smith put the game to rest with a three run shot to left field to make it a 10-2 Wildcats advantage.

Inside the Box: Smith paved the way for the Wildcats from the plate with a 2-for-4 performance including a triple, home run and five RBI's.  Brian Robison also had two hits on the afternoon.  Gabe Reptsik picked up the win allowing one hit in 1.1 innings of work.
