HARRISBURG, Pa. — Penn College men's and women's tennis teams lost their United East openers on Tuesday at Penn State Harrisburg, both by 9-0 scores. The Wildcat men are now 0-1 in the conference and 5-3 overall while the women are 0-1, 1-8. The PS Harrisburg men are 1-0, 5-3 and its women are 1-0, 4-4.
How it happened: Both Penn College teams dropped all six singles and all three doubles matches.
Inside the box: Tucker Phillippe-Johansson, at No. 1 singles, and Paul Langbein, at No. 2 singles, had the most competitive individual matches for the Wildcats as Phillippe-Johansson lost, 6-2, 6-4, and Langbein fell, 6-4, 6-2. They also had the most competitive doubles match as they teamed at No. 1 in an 8-4 loss.
