WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College shutout Gallaudet, 10-0, in a United East women's soccer match Saturday at UPMC Field. The Wildcats improved 2-1 United East, 2-5-1 overall, while the Bison fell to 0-3, 0-6.
How it happened: Penn College built a 3-0 lead in the opening five minutes when
Cassie Johnson found
Wiley Egan for consecutive goals and
Teagan Willey added an unassisted tally in the fourth minute.
Kaelynn Sheetz found Johnson in the 13
th minute and Johnson returned the favor in the 24
th minute for Sheetz' second goal of the season and a 5-0 PCT lead.
Arica Jones finished a Billiegean Hennessy corner kick in the 40
th minute to give the Wildcats a 6-0 halftime lead.
Egan netted her fifth goal of the season on a Willey pass in the 56
th minute before Willey found
Sara Darlington in the 56
th minute to make it 8-0. Sheetz scored the final two goals, on helpers from Willey and
Jaci Hunsberger, in the 56
th and 63
rd minutes.
