HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College netted a first half goal en route to a 1-0 victory over Penn College in a nonconference women's soccer match Wednesday evening. The Wildcats fell to 3-6-1, while the Eagles improved to 2-6-2.
How it happened: Juniata netted a score in the 38
th minute and the Wildcats could not respond as the Eagles went on to win 1-0.
Sara Darlington led the Wildcats offense with three shots, including two shots on goal, while
Kaelynn Sheetz added two shots with one on goal.
Inside the box: Juniata outshot Penn College, 13-7 (7-4 on-goal), and held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
Nicole Lichtinger picked up six saves in goal for Penn College.
