WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a pair of close contests on the final day of the Budd Whitehill Duals Saturday at Lycoming College. The Wildcats fell to 2-7 after a 27-18 setback to Oswego State and a 27-21 loss to Ferrum College.

Against Oswego,
The Wildcats built a 9-4 lead after Ryan Berstler's decision at 125 and Noah Hunt's pin in 2:52 at 141 pounds. The Lancers took its first lead,12-9, following a technical fall and a decision at 149 and 157. Cullen van Rooyen's 8-3 decision at 165 tied the match at 12-12, before a pair of forfeits, and a decision, gave Oswego a 27-12 advantage. Billy Bumbarger earned a fall in 2:09 at heavyweight.

Berstler's decision and a forfeit gave PCT a 9-0 lead before Ferrum picked up a tech fall to make it 9-5. Hunt and van Rooyen earned consecutive pins to give the Wildcats a 21-5 lead before the Panthers won the final five bouts – including two forfeits to secure the win.
