WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College knocked off Rowan College, 51-0, and Penn State Mont Alto, 42-6, in a nonconference wrestling match Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 7-8.
How it happened:
Ryan Berstler overcame a 6-3 first period deficit and secured a 9-6 win at 125 against Rowan.
Patrick Snoke followed with a fall in 3:15 before four consecutive forfeits gave Penn College a 33-0 lead.
Mason Leshock needed just 33 seconds to pick up a first period fall at 174 and
Gabriel Kennedy-Citeroni earned a 16-0 technical fall at 197.
Penn College jumped out to a 36-0 lead after six forfeits against Penn State Mont Alto before the Nittany Lions picked up a fall at 174 to make it 36-6. Kennedy-Citeroni earned an 8-3 decision at 197 and
Billy Bumbarger's reversal with 10 seconds left secured him a 4-2 decision at heavyweight.
