GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – Penn College played to a 1-1 draw against Gwynedd Mercy in a nonconference men's soccer match Thursday. The Wildcats improved to 6-4-3, while the Griffins sit at 2-6-5.
How it happened:
Cooper Smith scored his second goal of the season 21 seconds into the game when he rebounded his own shot on goal and buried the second chance to put the Wildcats ahead 1-0. GM netted the equalizer in the 25h minute, and both teams eventually entered the break deadlocked at 1-1.

Justin Potts was busy in the second half with five of his eight saves in the final stanza.
Inside the box: Penn College outshot the Griffins, 17-16, but GM was more accurate with nine shots on goal, while the Wildcats finished with five on frame. PCT held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.
