WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Kaelynn Sheetz scored a first-half hat-trick to lead Penn College women's soccer to a 10-1 United East Conference victory over Gallaudet on Friday, Oct. 20. The Wildcats moved their record to 3-1-2 in UEC contest and 10-1-7 overall while dropping the Bison to 0-5-0 UEC (4-9 overall.)

How it happened: Brooke Klinger was quick to score in just 1:17 before Sheetz scored her first of the night at the 6:42 mark. Piper Minier netted the third goal at the 8:26 mark before Sheetz tallied the next two in the 10th and 12th minute for a hat-trick and her 23rd goal of the season. Rylee Oliphant (15:48), Mia Clark (33:14) and Hayleigh Klinger (44:25) found the back of the net for the 8-0 lead at the break. 

Cierra Miller (71:37), Arica Jones (77:37) added scores in the second half before Gallaudet struck in the 89th minute.

Inside the box: Nicole Lichtinger had a clean night without a save to record her eighth victory in net. The Wildcats recorded 35 shots in the match with 23 coming on frame. Cassie Johnson added to her career assist record with two to Klinger and Miller.

Up next: Penn College prepares for the first round of the United East Playoffs on Saturday, Oct. 28, with a site and opponent to be determined.
