LATROBE, Pa. – Penn College played to a 1-1 draw against St. Vincent in a nonconference women's soccer match Wednesday. The Wildcats improved to 7-1-6, while Bearcats improved to 6-3-2.
How it happened: After a scoreless first half,
Cassie Johnson found Sarah Darlington for her fourth goal of the season and 1-0 PCT lead in the 78
th minute. St. Vincent netted the equalizer nearly eight minutes later in the 86nd minute.
Morgan Solano turned away four shots in the first half and Johnson had a pair of shots on frame that were saved.
Inside the box: The Bearcats outshot Penn College, 23-13, and held a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.
Solano finished with eight saves for the Wildcats.
Up next: Penn College returns to action Saturday, 3:30 p.m., hosting Penn State Abington.
