WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- The Penn College women's basketball team fell to returning United East Conference finalist in Penn State Harrisburg, 78-51, on Tuesday night inside Bardo Gymnasium. The Wildcats dropped to 0-1 in UEC action (1-6 overall), while Harrisburg moved to 1-0 (3-5 overall).
How it happened: The Wildcats scored the first six points in the game with three-straight layups from
Rachel Teats,
Lexi Troup and
Keeley Baker before the Lions drained a three for their first points of the night. Another Troup layup at the 6:23 mark kept the Wildcats up by six (9-3) but the visitors went on a 13-2 run to close the quarter with a 16-11 lead.
A Troup basket opened the second quarter but Harrisburg continued on another 19-3 run to extend its lead to 35-16 midway through the quarter and maintained a double-digit lead over the Wildcats for the remainder of the game.

Led by three in double figures, Harrisburg shot 45.5% (30-66) in the game and knocked down 10 threes.
