HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 102-74 decision to Mary Baldwin in a nonconference men's basketball game at the Doc Greene Tournament hosted by Juniata College Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 4-9, while the Fighting Squirrels improved to 4-7.
How it happened: After Mary Baldwin jumped out to a 14-4 lead five minutes into the game, Penn College responded with a 10-0 run to even game at 14 on a
Livingston Cross layup with 13:33 left in the opener – Cross scored six points in the run. The Wildcats took their final lead, 19-18, when
Ronn Flood, Jr. drained a trey with 11:40 left before the break, but MB took the lead for good on its next possession en route to a 53-42 halftime lead.
The Squirrels held a double-digit lead for the majority of the second half.
Inside the box:
Landon Reeder scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Gavin Barrett picked up a double-double, with 20 points and 10 assists, and Cross added 14 points.
