MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 59-43 decision to Penn State Harrisburg in a United East women's basketball game Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 8-7 UE, 9-15 overall, while the Nittany Lions improved to 12-3, 15-9.
How it happened: Sparked by six points from
Emily Pardee, Penn College jumped out to 10-2 lead midway through the first quarter. The Wildcats maintained a two-possession lead the rest of the quarter and led 18-10 at the end of the first.
Allie Troup's layup with 9:03 left before the break gave PCT its largest lead, 22-12, before Harrisburg used a 16-5 run to head into the break ahead, 28-27.
The Lions outscored Penn College 19-6 in the third and 12-10 in the fourth.
Inside the box: Troup led Penn College with nine points, while
Aubrey Stetts,
Ja'Quela Dyer, and Pardee finished with eight points.
Rachel Teats grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
