WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 27-21 decision to the University of Scranton in a non-conference wrestling match Friday. The Wildcats concluded its regular season at 11-10 – their first winning dual meet record in the NCAA Era.
How it happened: The Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead after
Ryan Berstler's 6-2 win at 125. Scranton took a 6-3 advantage after wins at 133 and 141 before
Noah Hunt's fall in 1:18 at 149 put the Wildcats back on top, 9-3. The Royals evened the match with a pin at 157 before
Mason Leshock's pin in 46 seconds at 165 tied the match again at 9-9.
Scranton regained the lead following a fall at 174 before
Isaac Cory pin in 1:11 at 184 tied the match again. Scranton picked up a fall at 197 and decision at 285 to secure the win.
