WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College finished 3-0 at its own quad meet Saturday at Bardo Gymnasium. The Wildcats knocked off Thaddeus Stevens, 47-7, Keystone, 44-6, and Elmira, 48-6, and improved to 10-8.
Against Thaddeus Stevens,
After two forfeits to start the match,
Patrick Snoke made it 18-0 with a pin in 1:02 at 133. A forfeit at 141 made it 24-0, before pins from
Brett Patton,
Nicholas Semon, and
Mason Leshock gave the Wildcats a 42-0 advantage. The Bulldogs got on the board with a decision at 174, before Issac Cory picked up a technical fall at 184 and
Gabriel Kennedy-Citeroni picked up a fall in 3:57 at 197.
Against Keystone,
Penn College received a trio of forfeits to begin the match, and victories from
Brett Patton,
Cullen van Rooyen,
Nicholas Semon, and
Mason Leshock gave the Wildcats a 38-0 lead. Patton earned a 19-3 tech fall at 149, van Rooyen picked up a 9-5 decision at 157, Semon decked his opponent in 1:23 at 165, and Leshock needed just 51 seconds for a pin at 174.
Against Elmira,
In the four competitive matches wrestled,
Noah Hunt picked up a fall in 2:31 at 141, Zach Miller decked his opponent in 2:16 at 174, and Citeroni earned a pin in 2:49 at 197.
