WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Hosting United East Conference-leading Lancaster Bible College, Penn College fell, 89-77, in men's basketball on Wednesday. The Wildcats now are 4-9 in the conference and 9-13 overall. Lancaster Bible is 12-1 in the UE and 15-7 overall.

How it happened: After trailing 5-1 early, foul shots by Max Jackowsky allowed Penn College to tie the score at 7, and the Wildcats pulled out in front 14-10 with 15:25 left in the half after a trey by Gavin Barrett and two foul shots by Alec Cooper. LB then went on a 27-12 run to close out the half on top, 37-26.

The Chargers upped their lead to 17 early in the second half before Penn College whittled it down to 11 at 58-47 on a Rees Watkins layup at the 13:29 mark and again at 70-59 with 9:24 left on Cooper foul shots. Lancaster Bible then opened it up again, taking its largest lead of 20 points at 81-61 with 5:38 remaining.

Inside the box: Barrett and Watkins both scored 20 points for Penn College and Livingston Cross added 16 points. Watkins and Cross each had eight rebounds for the Wildcats and Barrett led the team with seven assists.

LB's Jordan Shewbridge led all scorers with 24 points as the Chargers swept the season series, 2-0.
