WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Penn College tennis teams both lost their United East matches against Lancaster Bible College on Tuesday, the men 5-4 and the women 9-0. The Wildcat men now are 1-2 in the conference and 2-4 overall, while the women are 0-2 in the UE and 2-5 overall. Lancaster Bible's men are 2-1 in the UE and 11-3 overall, while its women are 2-1 in the UE and 5-10 overall.
How it happened: The Wildcat men won three singles and one doubles event, while the women dropped all six singles and three doubles matches.
Inside the box: Winning for the men were
Paul Langbein at No. 1 singles,
Kyle Shuler at No. 2 singles and
Alex Norris at No. 3 singles, and the No. 2 doubles team of Langbein-Kight.
For the women,
Ellen Buckley had the most competitive singles match at No. 1 singles as she lost, 6-4, 6-3, while at No. 2 doubles
Maddie Adams-Kassidi Lenhard fell, 8-6.
