WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Penn College women's soccer team played to a scoreless 90 minutes in the United East Conference opener against Penn State Berks on Saturday, Sept. 23. The Wildcats remain unbeaten at 4-0-5 (0-0-1) while the Nittany Lions sit at 2-4-1 (0-0-1).
How it happened:
Nicole Lichtinger turned away three Nittany Lion shots in the last 10 minutes including two in the final four minutes to preserve her third shutout of the season in the conference opener. Lichtinger recorded a season-high 11 saves to led the Wildcats.
The Wildcats fired off nine shots with three on goal from
Wiley Egan,
Teagan Willey and
BillieGean Hennessy.
