MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn College fell to conference-leading Penn State Harrisburg, 83-67, in a United East men's basketball game Wednesday. The Wildcats fell to 3-4 UE, 6-13 overall, while the Nittany Lions improved to 7-0, 17-3.
How It happened: Penn College took an early 8-2 lead on Ronn Flood Jr.'s three at 17:49, before holding off a quick Harrisburg counter and maintaining a six-point, 14-8, advantage with a Flood dunk with 13:51 remaining in the first. Following a 6-0 spurt from the Lions, the game featured four ties and several lead changes for nearly six minutes until a 23-23 stalemate with 7:51 on the clock. Harrisburg outpaced PCT, 7-2, in a three-minute span and eventually headed into the break ahead 36-31.
Harrisburg opened the second with a 10-5 run and led by double-digits the majority of the second half.
Inside the box:
Livingston Cross dropped a game-high 24 points for Penn College and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
Alec Cooper added 12 points, while
Gavin Barrett finished with 10.
