WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College handed Gallaudet a 7-1 setback in a United East men's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 2-1 United East, 7-4-1 overall, while the Bison fell to 1-1, 2-8.
How it happened: Penn College took a 3-0 lead into the half after goals from Lorgan Stapleton, in the 11
th minute,
Jimmy Friedman, in the 31
st minute, and
Dakoda Buzzy in the 42
nd minute.
Tommy DeGeyter assisted on Friedman's goal.
Logan Stapleton found DeGeyter in the 52
nd minute to make it 4-0 and
Mason Kostick deposited a Scott Goldfelter pass a minute later to give PCT a 5-0 lead. DeGeyter found Goldfelter in the 56
th minute before
Alex Heiser finished
Angelo Gudonis' pass in the 76
th for the Wildcats final score.
Inside the box: Penn College outshot Gallaudet, 29-2 (15-1 on-goal) and held a 13-4 advantage in corner kicks.
