Wildcats shutout Rosemont

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College stayed unbeaten with a 6-0 win over Rosemont in a United East women's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 2-0-1 United East, 8-0-4 overall, while the Ravens fell to 1-1, 5-5.

How it happened: Megan Kurian put Penn College on the board when she deposited Sierra Klinger's pass in the 21st minute. Cassie Johnson later found Lucy Kontir in the 36th minute to give the Wildcats a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Kurian scored her team-high 15th goal of the season when Wiley Egan connected with her in the 52nd minute. Egan then found Sierra Klinger in the 65th minute to put PCT ahead 4-0. Rylee Oliphant and Olivia Casella connected on the Wildcats final two scores, in the 84th and 89th minutes.

Inside the box: Penn College outshot Rosemont, 25-2 (13-1 on-goal) and held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Nicole Lichtinger improved to 5-0-4 in goal.

Up next: Penn College returns to action Tuesday, 7 p.m., at Cedar Crest.
