ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Penn College shutout Cedar Crest, 2-0, in a nonconference women's soccer match Tuesday. The Wildcats improved to 9-0-4, while the Falcons dropped to 3-4-2.
How it happened:
Wiley Egan scored her fifth goal of the season when
Piper Minier found her in the 19
th minute to give Penn College a 1-0 lead. The Wildcats sent three more shots on frame in the opener but all were turned away.
After four shots on goal to start the second half were stopped,
Megan Kurian buried
Sierra Klinger's pass in the 80
th minute for an insurance goal. It was Kurian's 16
th goal of the season and set the program's freshman's record.
Inside the box: Penn College outshot Cedar Crest, 26-2 (13-2 on-goal) and held an 8-0 edge in corner kicks.
Morgan Solano picked up two saves to earn the win in goal for Penn College.
