WASHINGTON, D.C. – Penn College handled Gallaudet, 80-61, in a United East men's basketball game Wednesday. The Wildcats wrapped up the regular season at 6-6 United East, 9-15 overall, while the Bison fell to 2-10, 3-22.
Penn College secured the No. 4 seed in the United East Volt Division playoffs and will host No. 5 Penn State Berks Saturday. A time is still to be determined.
How it happened: The Wildcats led from whistle-to-whistle, leading by as many as 20 twice in the first half.
Landon Reeder's jumper put PCT ahead 30-10 with 9:02 on the clock and
Gavin Barrett kept it a 20-point advantage, 33-13, with a three 30 seconds later. Penn College led 45-34 at halftime.
The Wildcats outscored Gallaudet, 35-27, in the second half.
Inside the box: Barrett picked up his fifth triple-double of his career by posting 15 points, 16 assists, and 10 boards for the Wildcats.
Livingston Cross picked up his 14
th double-double of the season with 26 points and 16 rebounds.
David Brown added 14 points and Ronn Flood Jr. added 11.
