DALLAS, Pa. – Penn College dropped its season opener, 14-3, against Misericordia in a nonconference men's lacrosse game Sunday. The Wildcats fell to 0-1, while the Cougars improved to 1-0.

How it happened: MU led 6-1 after the first and 7-2 at halftime. The Cougars outpaced the Wildcats 7-1 in the second half.

Inside the box: AJ Dotson led Penn College with two goals, while Sam Hills added one.

Alex Hammond turned away nine shots in goal for PCT.

Misericordia outshot the Wildcats, 43-28, held a 38-26 advantage in ground balls, and won 11 of 20 faceoffs.

Up next: Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 4 p.m., hosting Westminster.
