WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 16-6 decision to Montclair State in a nonconference men's lacrosse game Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 0-3, while the Red Hawks improved to 1-0.
How it happened: Montclair jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter before

Sam Hills to get Penn College on the board. The Hawks went on a 4-0 run to start the second before
Harrison Schlachta's goal made it 8-2 with 7:08 before halftime. Montclair added a late score to lead 9-2 at halftime.
After the Hawks scored early in the third, the Wildcats netted back-to-back goals to make it 10-4. Gabe McClune connected with
Aidan McFalls at 12:20 and
Brendan Kuczma found
Jake Small at 10:18. Montclair ended the third with two goals, and began the fourth with four, to lead 16-4. Penn College scored the final two scores by
Devin Page and
AJ Dotson.
Inside the box: Montclair outshot PCT, 53-29, and won 19 of 26 faceoffs.
Alex Hammond turned away 13 shots in goal for Penn College.
