WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College snapped a three-game skid with a 16-6 win over Juniata in a nonconference men's lacrosse game Wednesday. The Wildcats improved to 3-5, while the Eagles fell to 2-6.
How it happened: Penn College jumped out to a 4-0 lead, with goals from
Devin Page,
Harrison Schlachta,
Jake Small, and
AJ Dotson, and finished the quarter with a 6-1 advantage after late scores by Gage McClune and Dotson. Small and McFalls both netted a pair of shots in the second to give the Wildcats a 10-1 lead at the break.
PCT took a 15-5 lead after the third with two goals from McFalls and one by Joah O"Leary. Guerin San Augustin fired the Wildcats final shot.
Inside the box: Penn College outshot the Eagles, 51-35 and was 16 of 18 in clear attempts.
McFalls finished with a team-high five goals, while Small and Dotson finished with three and two, respectively. McFalls and Schlachta both finished with a game-high two assists and
Alex Hammond picked up his first win between the pipes with 11 saves.
