WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College knocked off Cairn University, 29-6, in a United East men's lacrosse game Saturday at UPMC Field. The Wildcats improved to 1-0 United East, 5-5 overall, while the Highlanders fell to 0-1, 2-5.
How it happened: Penn College took a 10-1 lead after the first quarter and a 15-5 advantage at halftime. The Wildcats outscored Cairn, 14-1, in the second half.
Inside the box:
Aidan McFalls led all scorers with seven goals and A.J. Dotson added a six. Same Nice,
Graham Purdy,
Jesse Weick, and
Connor Stank each finished with two goals. Dotson finished with a game-best five assists for the Wildcats and
Michael Stank was 20 of 29 on faceoffs.
Alex Hammond picked up the win between the pipes with two saves.
