SCRANTON, Pa. -- Penn College defeated Marywood, 10-4 in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Wednesday. The Wildcats earned their fourth-straight victory and improved to 6-5 on the season while the Pacers dropped to 2-7.
How it happened: Harrison Schlachta posted the first goal of the day at the 10:03 mark in the first quarter before
AJ Dotson hit nylon three consecutive times for his third-straight hat-trick.
Aidan McFalls scored his first of three goals at the 5:25 mark in the second quarter for a 5-2 halftime lead.
Jesse Weick, Gage McClune, Schlachta and McFalls all scored in the second half as the Wildcat defense held the Pacers to just two goals in the first half and two in the third quarter.
Inside the box: Dotson finished with a team-high seven points on three goals and four assists while he scooped up two ground balls and caused one turnover. McFalls added two assists for five points and had a team-high four ground balls, tied with
Ian Stambaugh and
Austin Callahan.
Alex Hammond earned his fifth victory of the season between the pipes with 11 saves.
Jake Plokhoy led the Pacers with two goals.
