READING, Pa. – An 11^th inning error plated Dallas Griess to help Penn College knock off Penn State Berks, 3-2, in a United East baseball game Friday. The Wildcats improved to 1-3 United East, 9-11 overall, while the Nittany Lions fell to 2-7-1, 3-18-1.

How it happened: Jaiden Augustine gave Penn College a 1-0 lead with a RBI single in the third inning before Berks tied the game in the bottom of the frame, 1-1. Shawn Townsend's one run double to left in the seventh put PCT back on top, 2-1, but the Lions deadlocked the game in the bottom of the ninth. Augustine's double in the 11^th led to the error that brought in the winning run.

Inside the box: Griess led Penn College's offense with three hits, while Augustine and John Croasdale both finished with two hits. Dennis Prestash fired the final two innings and improved to 2-1 after allowing no runs, on one hit with a walk, and a strikeout.

Up next: Penn College completes the final two games of the series with Berks, 12 p.m., Saturday.
