WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 1-0 decision to King's College in a nonconference men's soccer match Sunday. The Wildcats fell to 0-2, while the Monarchs improved to 1-0.
How it happened: King's took an early 1-0 with a tally in the 17
th minute and prevented Penn College from a shot on frame in the half.
The Wildcats had their lone shot on goal in the 78
th minute when
Logan Stapleton's attempt was stopped.
Inside the box: King's outshot PCT, 15-4 (11-1 on goal), and held a 5-4 edge on corner kicks.
Cole Catherman stopped 10 shots in goal for the Wildcats.
Up next: Penn College returns to action Saturday, 1 p.m., in its home opener against Keuka College.
